Great Partnerships Don't Happen by Accident: Part 2, Building the Revenue Operating System
Part 2 of the series, with Jeff Lennon and John McCabe
Signing a partner is step zero, not the finish line. In Part 2 of the series, Jeff and John explain what it takes to turn a partnership into repeat revenue, which they call a revenue operating system. It starts with trust, clear communication, a real process, and value both sides can see. A steady rhythm often takes 15 to 18 months to build, so patience and follow-through matter.
A true system rests on four things: people, process, economics and data. It should never depend on one channel manager. They also look at why partnerships stall: broken communication, mismatched expectations, and treating partners like a transaction. Honest forecasting and tracking early signals, not just closed revenue, keep everyone lined up.
